The Seychelles is world renowned for its beautiful sights and stunning beaches and is an extremely popular travel destination. Despite the fact that Seychelles can be fairly expensive with somewhat high priced accommodations and flights, the sheer glamour and beauty that this island nation exudes makes it a well-loved tropical destination to visit.
A visitor would usually carefully plan their holiday to the Seychelles so that they can enjoy the best kind of holiday and still save some money. It is a completely different story though, if they are planning to go on a last minute Seychelles holiday, especially if it is their first time that they are travelling to these islands.
The Flight Tickets
A visitor will first want to purchase their flight ticket. They will usually look out for a bundle that includes accommodation and flight, but it might not always be possible when planning their trip just before their trip. It is not too difficult to book tickets online in a hurry, but they could be expensive during busy periods. Bigger comparison sites can also offer affordable prices on different flights. Travellers should also bear in mind that Seychelles has their own air travel service known as Air Seychelles. This will usually be cheaper than alternative flight services. It is a good idea to make use of this opportunity as they will be less expensive while also offering great service.
The Accommodation
Before booking the accommodation, a visitor should bear in mind that the Seychelles is an archipelago or chain of 110 islands. Praslin, La Digue and Mahe are the three key islands. These three islands are where all the resorts and hotels will mostly be found as most of the other islands are not big enough to have any travel accommodations on them. What also must be noted is that a Mahe or La Digue hotel will usually be a four or five star hotel and nothing lower. This is because the Seychelles are known to have the most amazing group of hotels found anywhere else on earth.
Thankfully though, there is also a wonderful range of alternative accommodations that include guest houses, small apartments, lodges and self-catering villas. These accommodations might not be on par with a luxury hotel, but they will nonetheless offer quality accommodations at cheaper rates. A traveller will only have to search online for a few minutes before they find their last minute holiday accommodation in the Seychelles.
The Luggage
Different flight services usually offer different baggage allowances, but the average Seychelles flight is normally between 20 to 23 kg for the economy class together with cabin baggage weighing 7 kg. This is usually enough for a traveler visiting the Seychelles for even three weeks. Most holidaymakers to the Seychelles usually just buy some small souvenirs and possibly two straw hats for their next holiday.
The Paperwork
An ID card and passport is needed, and it is also wise for a visitor to take their driver’s licence with them in case they want to hire a car on arriving at the Seychelles. A vehicle insurance policy can also be taken if the visitor owns their own car, but it is not mandatory.
